So, it's been at least a year since I've read fanfiction the way I used to. I'm slacking majorly, as proven by the last time the Warren was updated.

So, I decided to sit down in front of my enormous fanfiction inbox and read some short fics.

This one looked promising. Buffy gets a sunburn, Giles applies aloe. Sweet, right? So I read....and read....and....

He'd probably brown over nice. Buffy smiled at the thought of her sun-kissed Watcher. Tan looked good on him.

"Over."

Buffy turned over, baring her milk-white boobies and lobster-red rest of her.

I'm now remembering what got me *out* of fanfic reading.

A long while back, you asked people to tell you the shows they watch regularly. I listed all the series' I record on my DVR.

Well, my DVR crapped out on me last night. I had to have a tech come out to fix it.

And I yelled and cried because they took it. THEY TOOK MY DVR.

Hell, I hadn't even WATCHED Wedding Wars yet, let alone taped it. Like I'm going to remember all the stuff I had set to record!!!! That sucker was so full I couldn't put anything on it without it telling me I had to move some stuff to make room for it.

I mean HELL! Goddamn! Shit!

And I really didn't appreciate it going out last night and being an omen for the doctor's appointment I had today. But anyway.

All the hell I had to go through screwed up the very beginning, but I've done worse. Hopefully it's not as sucktastic as I thought it would be.

When I first got the bug to make this a video, I fought over what character to use. There were so many to choose from.

In rare Fandom ROCKS! news, kindkit has thrown out an amazing idea for a Fanfic Celebration to commemorate 10 years since Buffy first aired. I'm most definitely interested, if not a little intimidated, since it's been over a year since I've written any fanfiction.

Go over there and fill out the poll, let her know people are interested. I have some amazing writers on my friendslist, and I think if anything deserves a ficathon, this would be it.
